Sevi Bayraktar

Sevi Bayraktar ist Professorin für Tanz, Musik und Performance in globalen Kontexten am Zentrum für Zeitgenössischen Tanz an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Sie erwarb ihren Doktortitel in Kultur und Performance an der UCLA und ist spezialisiert auf Tanzethnografie, Politik der Vererbung, choreografische Forschung und Überschneidungen von Theorie und Praxis. Ihre Arbeiten erschienen in Dance, Movement & Spiritualities (2018), Performance Philosophy (2019) und der Zeitschrift für Ethnologie (2020). Ihr aktuelles Buchprojekt Dissenting through Dance analysiert eine zeitgenössische Geschichte des Volkstanzes, der Gender-Körperpolitik und der sozialen Bewegungen in der Türkei.
